Korean Side Dish

 Hi guys....
How it's your day?
Today I want to tell you about Korean Side Dish that I make few weeks ago.

It must be all too familiar to Korea, especially for Kpop lovers and Kdramas, including myself one korean drama lovers :). Besides being famous for kpop and the dramas, Korea is also famous for its appetizing food. The fairly popular Korean food in Indonesia it self is kimchi, tteokbokki, ramyeon, samgyopsal, jajangmyeon, kimbab, heotteok, mandoo and many others.

This time I will write down the 3 Korean foods I've mentioned before.

1. Heotteok
It was known in Korea at the end of the 19th century after being created by Chinese traders who settled in Korea. Hotteok dough is made from a mixture of wheat flour and glutinous rice flour that is diluted with water, along with sugar, milk, and yeast. After a few hours, the dough rose to the point where balls the size of fists could be made.

It is hard enough to make it fill with sweet paste made from chocolate sugar, honey, eartheners, and cinnamon aroma. A paste is filled, frying it over a level frying pan and dubbing it to make it slightly flattened with a stainless steel hot point. There are variations of hotteok, some of which mix cornmeal or green tea into the batter, while some are not Fried but roasted.

This stuffing of heotteok has been greatly varied according to the wishes of the maker, as I have made in which the fillings are crushed hard nuts and sugar brown.

2. Kimbab

Kimbab is a typical Korean food made from rolls of rice and stuffing such as vegetables and meat. Kimbab or kimbap comes from the words gim and bap. Gim means seaweed and bap means rice or rice.

Kimbab is a typical Japanese kimbap. But when sushi contains rice seasoned with vinegar and fish, kimbab contains rice seasoned with sesame oil and is filled with various stuffing, including meat, crab sticks, ham, eggs, and vegetables. Kimbab are eaten along with kimchi and vegetable pickle.

Kimbab is a portable food that can be tailored to any taste, diet, or event. For this reason, kimbab is often a picnic or a lunch.

3. Mandoo

Mandoo is a type of food that came from China and entered Korea since the goryeo dynasty. Made with flour paste and contained seasoned meat. It's created by a brilliant Chinese military genius named zhuge liang.

At first, this meal was prepared for ancestral rites or banquets. Over time, however, this meal has become one of the most popular delicacies the koreans enjoy in the winter. These can be steamed, boiled, pan Fried, or Fried in a lot of oil. For various mandoos filling, there may be shrimps, mushrooms, chickens, or even vegetables with a hard texture.

That's what I share with all my readers. Thank you for reading and I'll see you later....Annyeong!!!
